Jonathan Adler’s Utopia

Share

OMG! I am loving Jonathan Adler’s new collection for Kravet. Adler, potter, decorator extraordinaire and self-described Maker, did an energetic and a tad trippy collection for his first foray into fabrics.  The Utopia collection named for Adler’s approach to design is bright, bold and certainly colorful. Modernist forms inspired by his pottery, bold graphic patterns and embroidery in a range of both vivid colors and neutrals embody the essence of optimism, which is the core of Adler’s philosophy. But Adler describes it as based in craft, because first and foremost he is a craftsman.

My three favorite fabrics – perfect for window dressings are:

Pots – inspired by his pottery and a wonderful overlaid print.

Love this for bold focal point at the window.

To be honest, I am tired of graphic fretworks, latticeworks and chevrons. Like the rounded shapes here and the Moroccan flavor.
