Pantone (is taking over the) Universe

Pantone seems to be staking out its territory in all kinds of product categories these days. From stationery

to Beachwear…

Pantone beachwear

Pantone Universe Beachwear is a collection of speedos, shorts and trunks designed and produced  by Fashion Factory

( Reminds me of the color walls we used to have to merchandise in Bed and Bath….)

Springs partnered with Pantone Universe to launch collection of bedding and bath furnishings. Slated to be released in fall 2012, the furnishings can be mixed and matched.

Along with the bedding, a vending machine will be set up to dispense Pantone products with the swipe of a credit card.

Pantone sprouting up everywhere; for a special feature in French culinary magazine fricote, french food designer emilie de griottes developed dessert tarts
that recreate Pantone color swatches. Berries, carrots, lemon, candies, and other foods are arranged upon a tart base, whose bottom is iced in white and marked with the Pantone color represented.

and last but not least: Royalty…

To celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee, Leo Burnett in London and Pantone worked together to create this nice little Pantone wheel based on the 60 years of the British monarch’s notorious color-matched outfits. Each outfit lists a Pantone number and the date she wore the clothing.
