Vintage and Modern

Are you Vintage or Modern? Do you like to kick back in an aged leather club chair or are you more Mad Men cool?  No matter what your personal style,  Vintage and Modern  is my new favorite  flash sale destination for unique pieces that always are a perfect fit. Visiting these sites isn’t only about the sale, I always find  a bit of inspiration or  learn something new about design.

Here’s what I am coveting this week for the window fashionista in me :

V & M #422624

I Love this pair of antique European carved curtain rods. Plus, the size(84″) make them versatile too.

V & M #192732

Granted these really don’t have much to do with window coverings, but I am drawn to them. These rollers were used in the early 20th century to print wallpaper. Elaborate wallpaper designs were created by  craftspeople who cut out and etched ink pads in brass filligree and then hammered them into  maple rollers to print wallpaper.

V & M #428846

This is a Verner Panton fabric produced by the Swiss company, Mira X  in a rare color way of light red. It was previously used as a curtain and is actually 3 panels sewn together – the panel widths are: 20 + 45 + 25 inches. .

V & M #344479

1920’s French, handpainted compostion curtain tiebacks in the form of a fruit garland. Mostly green with some fruit color showing through

Finally, you gotta LOVE anyone who sells awesomeness like this!
