Because over 75 percent of the design world is women, I found this recent survey from the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) encouraging. Those of us working every day in the design trenches know that things will never be like the heady days pre 2008; but it looks like we may have turned a corner.

As we get older and our industry matures it spotlights the dwindling numbers of people entering design and how hard it is to find skilled workers.
We should take a page from other business owners -some who might be our competition- and focus our marketing on building a kick ass website, sharing on social media and selling our products and services online- e-decorating anyone?
